Our Objective is to:

·         Foster and encourage the maintenance and improvement of the integrated townscape and environment of our area

Our Tasks will be to:

·         Nurture a sense of community and involvement amongst residents

·         Communicate and co-ordinate community reaction to planning matters

·         Encourage all measurers, which create a green, friendly environment

·         Create a dynamic balance between the varied interests and priorities of groups within the community

Our Community Aims will be to:

·         Encourage formulation of opinion by meetings, open fora and newsletters

·         Provide opportunities for interaction with a variety of social events

·         Publicise the rich legacy of many historical forces forming our area

·         Support the interests of the local traders and workers serving community needs

·         Maintain a balanced residential area supported by community services and facilities

·         Establish links with the community and to other amenity companies

Our Objectives relating to Planning issues will be to:

·         Support the aims, guidelines and principles of the Conservations areas

·         Oppose infilling of front basement courtyards

·         Maintain traditional rooflines and front elevations

·         Discourage off-street parking facilities where there is minimal planning gain

·         Oppose schemes that will result in a loss of amenity to residents and neighbours

·         Oppose large advertising hoardings

·         Oppose satellite dishes on front elevations

·         Support the Council's planning enforcement notices

Our Objectives relating to Green issues will be to:

·         Support recycling initiatives

·         Support plans to green the area

·         Protect all open, green spaces

·         Promote the development of canal side walk-ways

·         Support the designation and utilisation of cycle routes.
